Volunteer Your Time and Skills

Our dedicated staff component is always looking for for volunteers to provide extra hands, feet and brains to help with the roll-out of our projects. Whether you have special skills or abilities that you would like to put to specific use, or whether you want to help but just don't quite know how, we have a special place in our organsiation just for you! Here are some of the ways in which you can help out by working directly with our prorgamme beneficiaries or by assisting with administrative and organisational activities:

• The after-school care component of our Children's Circle of Support programme has plenty of scope and opportunity for you to contribute. Bring your interests and skills (sporting, artistic, musical - anything that could be of interest to the children) to share with the children who participate in the Trust's after-school activities. Even helping these children with their homework would be an invaluable contribution - they often do not have people close to them who are willing and able to do this, and their schoolwork suffers
• If you have any specialist knowledge in the fields of health, education or social development, you can get involved in the monitoring and evaluation of our programmes. We also periodically require people to act in advisory capacities in these fields. In our constant drive improve and develop our services, we welcome any additional advice and input regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of our projects
• Any practical knowledge and experience in the fields of health, education and social developmont would also be welcomed, and you could join us in applying your valuable skills in the field
• There are always adminitrative tasks that need to be performed, and these can often draw our practitioners away from valauble time in the field and in manging their operations. If you have an aptitude for administrative work, we would love for you to apply your skills within our organisation
• Any assistance with fundraising is invaluable to the Hermanus Rainbow Trust. You could hold your own fundraising events, help out with the planning and running of our fundraising events, or help out in the office with proposal writing and donor relations. there are so many ways in which you can help, and any one of them would help the Hermanus Rainbow Trust to paint a rainbow of hope and opportunity.
