Mission & Objectives

Our Purpose

To deliver educational, social, palliative and health care services in the Overstrand region

Our Mission

The Overstrand area is home to many impoverished and marginalised communities in which access to services are limited, unemployment is high, and drugs, violence, crime, HIV/AIDS and teenage pregnancies are rife. Many of these communities are geographically isolated and lack even the most basic facilities. The Hermanus Rainbow Trust addresses these dire needs by providing social, education, palliative and health services in all parts of the Overstrand. We offer ongoing training, support, awareness and healthcare for community members so that they are able to escape from their cycles of poverty and live comfortable, dignified lives. The Hermanus Rainbow Trust promotes its services though community outreach so that all individuals in the region may benefit.
